Sailing out of Duquesa is a fantastic way to trial
sailing. This 2 hour 30 min experience offers you the option to sit back, relax and watch the scenery change or
you can get involved and help the crew sail our luxury yacht.
Your experience begins at Duquesa, where you'll be met by
your crew for the day and board the yacht, Raintown.
Once on board, you will receive a safety briefing and be shown
round the yacht. Our deck hand will cast off and you will begin a 20 minute trip out of Duquesa Marina and then
3 miles out in to the med During this time, you'll be given the opportunity to steer the boat and the Skipper will point
out the places of interest along the along the coast and answer any sailing related questions you might have.
Once we are out at sea, the crew will raise the sails and switch
off the engine. At this point, you will have your first taste of real sailing - the silence, the gentle glide of the yacht
through the water and wonderful views of the coast . You will even have an opportunity to take the helm and
to assist with the sail changes as required. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the sailing experience whilst taking
in the views and the fresh sea air.
We sail for approximately 2hrs 30min before returning to Duquesa.
As the yacht makes it's way back to Duquesa, all onboard will recieve
a complimentary glass of champagne and will have plenty of time for taking photographs of the coast and dolphins. During
your sailing advenure, you're more than welcome to chat to our friendly crew about learning to sail,
Once back at Duquesa, you will disembark and have a number of restaurants
to choose from for a nice lunch or dinner.
We have complimentary water and soft drinks on board, but, we do
not have a food or liquor license.
